When looking through the list of users for the Nordex 2.3-2.5 User Group, more or less all members have brought on new employees that have not been on the O2O WIND platform before! That was one of our main ambitions with the turbine specific user groups. 

That means that we have reached step 2 in our road map...

Our roadmap in three steps 

Spending five years among owners collaborating within wind farm operations I believe this is a great road map for owners in specific and also for the industry as a whole.

Step 1 - a global network

In February 2019 O2O WIND reached one major milestone: global coverage with members on six continents.

Step 2 - turbine specific networks

Now we are taking the next step: to develop our network with more specialized turbine specific clusters.

The Nordex 2.3-2.5 User Group will be launched next week on the 21st of May. we are preparing the launch for the Vestas V90 3 MW User Group, GE 2.X User Group and the Vestas 3 MW User Group. Thereafter we will do the Big One: Vestas 1.8-2.0 User Group.

Step 3 - add on services in these networks

Our next challenge is to implement a turbine-specific data-driven collaboration to share and compare availability and costs within all turbine specific user groups.

Depending on the turbines the owners within the various turbine specific network will have different problems. Different needs will then lead to  different ideas for which owner-2-owner collaborations they would like to develop. Such owner-2-owner collaborations could be: Failure rate for main components, MTTR, spare part’s pool,
