BKW Wind Service is a part of the BKW AG, based in Berlin. The parent company BKW AG is based in Berne, Switzerland, with approx. 6000 employees in Europe and a revenue of app. 3 billion CHF in 2016. Since 1996 BKW Renewable develops, builds and operates wind farms for long-term ownership. BKW Renewable currently operates 271 turbines (538 MW), mainly GE, Vestas, Enercon and SWT turbines.
O&M Strategy
Our strategy is to manage/operate the teams and turbines safe and efficient. That means to decrease the CoE mainly by a good service concept, high energetic availability and technical improvements. We are focused on short-termed service contracts with OEM`s for new turbines. That is the basic for possible contracts with ISP`s and for a special scope of work. We take over the responsibility for main components generally to negotiate with the supplier directly. The analyzing of the operational and performance data open the door for positive changes.
Our ambition for O2O
BKW believes that the information/ best practice exchange and cooperation by using the O2O platform are important. That is a chance to close value gaps and to improve the business results of our wind assets.
