First meeting - How to Operate Older Wind Turbines

23 Oct in Berlin: in relation to the Owners Roundtable – WIND 2018
On the 23rd of October we will be hosted by Ingmar Bürger at BKW at his office in Berlin. The 23rd is the day before the Owners Roundtable which is the annual gathering of O2O WIND open for all energy companies owning wind farms. But then again only for wind turbine owners no suppliers and no sales pitches anlo among genuine wind turbine owner peers. Many of our members will be there anyway and its then a convinient date and also with good communications.
Background
First we had our dear member Iñaki Miron at Gas Natural Fenosa who wanted us to gather owners on how to operate older turbines. To include more people and to develop our understanding for mich are the most relevant questions for owners, operating older wind farms we organised a webinar on this topic.
Register
If you have an interest to join a group of wind turbine owners, owning older wind farms, to continuously share experiences and data on this topic please register below. The first meeting is held as a physical meeting as it makes a big difference to have met in flesh and blood.
How the experts in this end-user group will collaborate
The activities of this group will be mainly virtual and for the physical meetings we will produce a well written summary for those who couldn't make it. This means that the operators of older wind farms working for wind turbine owners all over the world can participate.
The ambition is share data, knowledge and experience on how to operate older wind farms among end-users/wind turbine owners to build a common platform of best practice.
Efficient quarterly meetings
We will gather the group once every quarter to catch up and share most recent experiences and progress. These meetings will be held in a video format except one that will be held in relation to the annual meeting of O2O WIND's Owners Roundtable, as a physical meeting.
Collaborate on O2O WIND's digital collaboration platform
Inbetween our quarterly meetings the members of this end-user group will have access to O2O WIND's digital collaboration platform. On this platform we can communicate efficiently, hold common files, create Wikis, create competence profiles for each member. This platform also holds very high IT security standards to protect our information. For our end-user group we will create a sub-forum to share data, knowledge and experience on how to operate older wind farms.
Fast and daily communications on the O2O WIND Messaging app.
On the O2O WIND Messaging app we have created a specific channel for our end-user group onhow to operate older wind farms. The messaging app helps us to create a fast and mobile friendly communication. You will only receive notifications from this specific channel and not from the others. Then you know that every time your mobile will go "Pling" it will be from another peer having the same responsibilities as you. Our messaging app: O2O WIND - Daily Chit Chat, is available for both iPhone and Android users.
Physical annual meeting
In relation to the annual meeting of O2O WIND we will arrange the annual meeting for this end-user group. The first one will be held on the 23rd of October 2018 in Berlin. Agenda for this day will be produced soon and then published below under "Agenda" after summer vacations.
Regional meetings and supplier study visits
We will also want to arrange regional meetings and also arrange ad hoc gatherings to visit various suppliers.

With the answers coming in on our survey we will produce the agenda for our first meeting below.
The Owners Roundtable – WIND 2018
The day after, on the 24 and 25 of October we are arranging our owner exclusive gathering or as Nenad Keseric at Statoil puts it ”The Davos of Wind”. Quote from the Global Head of O&M at Enel Green Power who visited the event in 2017: "It has been a very productive and transparent dialog among all of us".
