Three new members were presented at today's meeting. We are now 17 energy companies owning more than 700 units of the Vestas V90 turbine based on four continents.
My absolute favourite passage was when one operator who is planning to self-perform their V90s was asking those who are already self-performing about special tools.
They went through a whole list of special tools for various components and functions.
Some had been supplied by Vestas but for the majority of the sought special tools the others had produced themselves and there were no issues in sharing these drawings and contacts to those who can manufacture them.
This is the second time in the V90 user group that one member has produced hardware and then shared specifications with others. In the first case, one member hired an external company to produce a mould in creating an upgrade. The contact details of the supplier who had produced the mould were shared and the mould could simply be used again.

Next physical meeting
Our members want to repeat the complete success of our first physical meeting in London. This success also inspired other members to host the meetings found at this link. Choose any of the events and you will find the evaluations from the London meeting at the lower end of that page.
Three members have expressed interest in hosting it. I will speak with them and come back with a date and location.
