Target group

This webinar has been produced for the wind asset owners who have decided to explore the opportunity of repowering one of their wind farms.

Goal

We have not engaged a consultant who will give all the answers. Every repowering project is different. We are gathering the wind asset owners to include their questions, experiences and opinions. With this webinar, we want to look closer at the challenges involved and help you to create the repowering business case for your company. The idea is to first include experiences held among your peers and thereafter you will have much more qualified questions for the consultants that you will maybe include.

Introduction

We will introduce the webinar with two repowering projects presented from the owners perspective:

  • Richard Wasell, Operations Manager at Finnmark Kraft was managing their repowering project of Havøygavlen wind farm, the most northern wind farm in the world, for two years. Richard will share their experiences from doing so
  • Hans-Christian Schulze, Country Manager at Eolus North America, Inc. will present their case where 400 turbines were replaced with 13 turbines and energy output went up by 400 % for the Wind Wall 1 wind farm in California. Compare the old ones in the lower right corner with the new ones in this picture

After a 2 x 15 min introduction we will include all wind asset owners in the discussion.
