Launch - Siemens DD User Group

Siemens DD User Group

Together with some highly motivated people at Statkraft and 9 of our members, owning, among themselves 361 Siemens DD turbines, we have created something we call: the Siemens DD User Group.

Step 1 - Sign on your Siemens DD people

The people we suggest would bring most value to your company by being active in this group are those who are closest to the machine:

  1. Daily time: those who have a big share of their daily tasks/time being connected to this specific machine,
  2. Competence: those who knows most about how to operate this machine and
  3. Benefit: those who would benefit most of getting involved in specific discussions on this machine.

Within the category: "being closest to the machine" we have identified four categories of people:

  • On site: The people who does daily maintenance on this specific machine: Technicians and Site Managers.
  • Engineers: The engineers who are involved in solving long term issues for this specific machine.
  • Asset managers: The people who internally within your company are representing the so called "owner perspective" and who are in contact with the OEM for this specific machine
  • Fleet responsible: Some of the bigger owners have persons who are top responsible for all turbines of a certain brand. This person is then the central contact person for the OEM who has manufactured this specific machine.

We are currently in contact with several energy companies owning this specific machine and have set the xxth of Xxxxry to align these effort as our deadline for when this people should have been registered on this user group.

Step 3 - Introduce yourself

Now who will you meet at this user group? You know that they are somehow working with the Siemens DD machine but that is more or less everything you know. Therefore we want each and one of the users of this group to introduce themselves.

Please click the button below to find examples for what to write and an empty format for you to create your own introduction. Here you will also find instructions for how to post your introduction on the Siemens DD sub forum.

Step 4 - Your ambitions with this user group

Our first meeting (the webinar) will be a much better meeting if we will have a summary describing each and ones ambitions for this user group. To share your input please click below. We do much more prefer that each user contribute then the whole company. To encourage this the input will be held anonymous.

Share your ambitions

Step 5 - Meet your fellow user in our webinar

In this step we are gathering all users of this group to get to know each other and to have an open discussion with all expectations that we have in the group and expectations for what we can achieve and how we could structure the collaboration within this user group.

The launch-webinar is held on the xxth of Xxxxry. Clicking the link below you will see at which time it is given in your timezone.

Single Access Point

After the 8th of January you have a new tool in your toolbox: Your Siemens DD peers!

Reach out, share doubts, considerations and solutions. Don't forget that the Siemens DD is a serial produced machine with serial produced weaknesses. Your peers are continuously developing new troubleshooting procedures, cunning trix to operate this machine and new solutions that could be much more cost efficient than OEM recommendations. Furthermore the market is always developing with new components and new suppliers.

Stay on top of all this by being an active user.

Any questions or considerations please contact us at +46-760-21 71 77 or at info@o2owind.com.

Best Regards
